5 Lawn Fertilization Treatments and Weed
Control Applications
At Hartman Landscape, our knowledgeable lawn technicians help you achieve and maintain a healthy, beautiful lawn. We use a granular fertilizer and weed control program and recommend 5 application treatments be applied throughout the season. When applied at correct intervals, our treatments ensure you have a strong, healthy turf.
Grub Control
Grubs are not just an annoyance; they can end up completely destroying your lawn. Save yourself the aggravation and expense of repairing grub damage by contacting Hartman Landscape to treat your turf with grub control. Our grub treatment is a one time, annual application which is applied in the summer months – somewhere between June and July. The treatment is designed to kill the larvae before it is able to grow and begin to damage the roots of your lawn. This preventative insecticide treatment is essential to keeping grubs at bay.
Perimeter Pest Control
Another service we offer is a perimeter pest control application to protect your home from insects such as spiders, crickets, silverfish, centipedes, ants, and more! Stop these insects before they invade your home!
Our treatment is applied 2 feet around the perimeter of the home and up the foundation wall approximately 2 feet. By doing this, you have added protection from annoying bugs that can enter your home through any small cracks. At Hartman Landscape, we recommend this treatment to be applied 3 times a year, usually at the end of May, June and August, when the bugs are prevalent.
Core Aeration

To provide this service, we use a machine that removes thousands of cores approximately 1″ to 3″ in depth, allowing water and fertilizer to get deep into the root zone where it is most beneficial to the turf. These ‘holes’ that the machinery creates not only increase the effectiveness of any treatments used, but also aid in thatch decomposition, improve drainage, help when overseeding, and more.
